Broken Sony Xa1q

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi I purchased this phone in January on an 18 month contract its said to have gorilla glass so should be very sturdy. I fell over with it in my pocket later on removed it and found lines and spots on the screen display.

Is there anything the guys at 02 can do im pretty sure its not insured but the USP of the phone is its rigidity so on an 18month contract (sold with as minimum) it should survive a fall in the first month.

Please help guys?

If you don't have a separate insurance for it, it MIGHT be worth checking if you have a premium/paid for bank account (it may have device insurance). If you do, check the terms and conditions for screen being covered and excess.
It may well work out being cheaper to get a market stall vendor to do it though, and you can always contact Sony directly.
Basically, do NOT use o2 to repair it.
Google search "in url:community.o2.co.uk Anovo" and read the many tales of woe...

@AnonymousI would get in touch with Sony https://services.sony.co.uk/supportmvc/en/contact

As said, avoid O2 repairs at all cost.

Currently in a live chat with sony.

Surely Gorilla glass being the USP should stand for something right?

You'd be lucky to ever get damages caused by falling covered by any phone warranty tbh.

You absolute best course of action is to check if it's insured, either on the contract, or your home insurance.

If not, contact Sony local support on the link provided earlier.

Gorilla glass isn't the USP of that device, it's a feature.
