Hi,
I see I can purchase an O2 Boostbox from various places. Do I need to be on an O2 business account to be able to use it ??
Thanks

Just a query here...Are these boostboxes still illegal to use without network approval?

Depending on the instalation @gmarkj o2 can make the box open to all numbers but the base station has to be in a known location so o2 can remotley control it (turn off etc) so has to be on a static ip address etc changing to another location on a non static ip address or ip range would prevent the box even connecting to the o2 network (from memory)

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/coverage/mobile-repeaters confirms the current legal position

@adamtemp64 that is correct, when provided to enterprise customers, the customer registers the external IP (Internet facing) of the box, which is then on the ACL at o2. Any change to the IP address has to agreed by o2.
