anyone else getting constant calls from Indians. Saying they are from O2. That your contract is up for renewal. When in fact it isn’t. I seem to be getting at least 2 or 3 a day. Getting really annoying.

@Paulstratford

It's a well known scam.

Forward the scam number to 7726 - It's free.

Yes I'm getting this too. I have even questioned the reason they are calling from mobile numbers too. They all say they are from a sub contract group that O2 employ to help the most valued customers get the best deals. I am just lucky I am not that gullible but others might be and it's concerning. I would like to know how hundreds of O2 customers have recently had their numbers somehow given to there scammers. I am getting at least 10-20 of these calls a day and they are all different mobile numbers. I keep blocking and reporting them but they still keep happening. Im getting so angry with it as I have just had mega major surgery and was in hospital when these calls began. They even happen in the middle of the night.

It's not just O2. I've had them supposedly from Vodafone on my Vodafone line.

They can guess who issued your number and go on that. Yes, people do port numbers from other networks but in the main their guess will be right.

Feed the numbers into an auto dialer, spoof someone's mobile number and hey presto, away they go

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

They harvest numbers indiscriminately, and blocking them does not help as they then use another mobile number generated at random...

I see spikes in these calls soon after I register something on a website - no particular pattern, but it seems that way, @snukems 🤷

I appear to have had a massive increase in spam calls/texts in general on my O2 mobile, have my details been leaked? In general I know not to advertise my mobile number anywhere online except for job applications and legit stuff.

Also, I never get calls from O2 that aren't legit.
