I bought a 1gb bolt on for £10.50 but now I’m thinking I should’ve upgraded my tariff. If I upgrade my tariff before my data resets do I still have to pay the £10.50 for bolt on or will that be included in the new data I get?

If you've bought the bolt on, you are stuck with it I'm afraid. If you upgrade, your tariff will change but the bolt on remains.

You may be better off using the bolt on and then upgrading in a week or so?

You won't be able to change your tariff until the bolt on is used or expires as you are only allowed one change per billing cycle.
