Re: Bogus 999 day top up rule is NOT in the T&Cs

Even though 25 years is an extraordinarily generous definition of 'regular top-ups' I bet you we will still get people complaining in years time!

Re: Bogus 999 day top up rule is NOT in the T&Cs

I came across this post by accident and thank goodness i did. I just want to thank you for this info as we had the same problem. My husband has an emergency phone which had plenty credit but was disconnected. I called and was told to top up every 6mths and make at least one call in this time, consequently we have built up a load of credit on this phone, we rarely use the phone, maybe just the odd text, so when i saw the post i got in touch with o2 and they have now given the bulk of the credit to the phone we use all the time and confirmed that it is 999 days between top up, thanks for posting this Smiley Very Happy

However, look at my post on 24th September - it was not a joke!

They probably added on another 9, making it 9,999 days.

No, but I don't think the unofficial 999 day limit was in print either?

Exactly, so how can we know this is right?

Yes,
I was emailed as follows on 22nd Sept 2010:
"Thank you to you both for taking the time to speak with me recently.

As promised, this email is to confirm that we've extended the period of which prepay customers will remain connected without having to top up, from 999 days to 25 years.

I hope this email provides you with adequate confirmation.

Kind regards
