Why is the blue light discount not accepted with certain phones? I’ve just upgraded to an iPhone 12 pro but the discount is on airtime plan not device. Seems unfair!

@Nao

This applies to the o2 discount schemes, So seems fair to remove from all discount schemes.

It usually applies to high demand handsets and is usually removed after 3 months from these handsets.

At the end of the day its an o2 business decision.

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Device plans are never discounted at all.

All the discount schemes apply to airtime only.

Terms and excluded devices here https://www.o2.co.uk/open

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

All done to maximise profits

As the discount has to be applied within 28 day it seems customers who are early buyers lose out

A bit unfair in my opinion

@MI5 That’s what I mean, if it’s the airtime that’s discounted then why should it matter which device I choose🤷🏼‍♀️

I know it won’t change things but thanks all for replying to my little mard😉
