Does anyone know if the Blue Light Card Holder discount is purely for 'employed' people. I have recently retired from the police family and rightfully hold a BLC, but not sure if it will qualify me for the 25% refresh airtime discount?

My pension is paid by the County Council and so that is the only payslip I can provide.

So, is the discount for serving staff only?  I cant find a list of occupations that qualify, and importantly, if pensioners qualify!

Thanks in advance. 🙂

@Cleoriff well that doesnt bode well - if you couldnt do it after 45 years, Im not going to be able to after 30 years 😞

I will try the shop anyway and see what I can achieve.

thanks

It may be different rules for you, or they may have changed now @JMI

Just to be clear though, I never applied for Open as I have been retired for more years than I care to mention. However, I have friends (much younger than me) who retired more recently and were eligible for Open when they worked and now aren't... when they retired 2-3 years ago. wink
