I have had a message text saying my bill is overdue and restrictions have been added to my account but in paid my bill on the 12th September at 20.43

You need to speak to the Payment Management Team on 0800 902 0217 and they can look into it for you...
I would advise setting up a direct debit to ensure that payment is made on time and not by card
