Hi my direct debit is due on 24th which is Sunday when will this leave my bank money is in waiting for collection if it comes out Monday will that affect my upgrade in December as a missed payment thanks Dean

In these circumstances my bank allocates the money on the Friday before and it is then taken on the following Monday by O2.

This way, no payments are missed.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi @Deano73 

Welcome to the o2 Community forum 

When you agree a DD with any company they call for the money and expect it to be paid then so if they ask for it Sunday fine if they call for it Monday that is also fine, it would not be considered a missed payment as they are getting the payment when they call for it.

Direct Debits due on the Sunday are taken on the next working day so on a Monday. 

The only thing that affects your Upgrade is missed payments and that puts it back by 3months... 

 

In this instance you should be all good 

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
