Hey, I just upgraded my huawei g7 to samsung galaxy s7 edge and my tariff is 40 pounds a month. I just want to ask why is my bill were 52 pounds and i looked into the charges it says that i have a VAT charge, I thought there's no VAT while you're in contract.
Can someone please explain it

No, you don't add vat to a consumer contract but the bill breakdown will show vat element.
Your first bill is always slightly higher

VAT is applicable on all contracts.

 

If you have a consumer account, VAT is usually included in the figure advertised however if your on a Business account VAT is normally added.

Also as you have just upgraded and this is your 1st bill it may be you have some existing monies outstanding from your previous contract @Anonymous

Thank you, i guess I'll just wait for the next months bill of the VAT are still there.
If O2 are advertising 40 and add VAT after that does that mean that they add hidden charges?
