Hi ,

I changed my contract with O2 yesterday afternoon to a sim only deal.

I was paying £25.17 a month on a direct debit and this is reducing to £13 a

month. Do I need to cancel my existing bank arrangement and arrange a new one

or will the existing direct debit just be charged the lesser amount from December.

I am concerned about the possibility of two payments being made.

The same DD will be used and the cost adjusted accordingly.

Flagged for number.

Hi there, @GM748

as @MI5 says a DD is quite a good way to pay as the Merchant requests a payment for the sum that is due so can vary and in your case it will only be requested (as you mention) for £13.00.  Most Merchants will let you know before-hand what is to be requested from you bank account.

PS NEVER  post you number on an open forum.  The moderators will remove it for you.

Good luck and welcome to the O2 Community Forum

The first payment won't actually be £13 as the cost of the first bill is adjusted pro rata. There will be a deduction from your old contract price as you pay a month in advance.
