thanks for all your suggestions - great to have a community like this.

O2 live chat have told me that this was for international texts - i knew i had sent a few but not that many 😞  They also confirmed that emoticons turned texts into MMS which have charges, but there weren't any on my last bill.  i found that strange, as i definitely sent emoticons last month!!

their advice was to get the O2 app which would give me itemised bills, so that's what i'm doing now 🙂

Probably if you have been including smilies...which usually convert a SMS text to MMS?

Hi it's usually because your phone is converting your texts to mms it normally happens if you insert any emoctions or send very long texts

You should be able to see which messages you have been billed for in My O2.

If it isn't mms, have you been sending any messages to short codes (usually 5 digits) or to international numbers as these will not form pay off your allowance.

Hi and Welcome to the Community Forum,

If you contact Customer Services http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus they will advise what the charges were for. I've known on occasion for these to be quashed if it was a genuine error ,even though they do not have to as it's user initiated.

Let us know how you get on.
