Bill after cancelling contract

I cancelled my phone contract today which I also the final day of my bill for the final month, which I was told I would not have to pay anything after today if I changed to a new phone with someone else. Yet checking on the my o2 app I still have to pay money on the 16th May. Why?

Hi there, yes I followed the guide below in reference to using a PAC code, and on my O2 app it says my next payment will be £30 on the 16th May.

@Mdun It may be the O2 system automatically generating that. You'll have to keep an eye on your bank statement, and if that amount is taken you'll have to call O2 to request a refund.
