if you are on Refresh the only way to cancel is to pay off your device plan....then you can walk away

Have a look at this guide to Refresh

If you are struggling with payments you need to contact customer service asap http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

They may offer you the chance of a payment plan....

You will still have to pay your bill and then buy out of the contract.
You can't just cancel and walk away because you got a high bill.
Look in your My O2 to see why your bill is so high http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

That indeed is a high bill but you need to see what the extra charges are for so as not to get repeated high bills. As said, if you find the money to pay off the handset then you can just give notice to end the contract.

Don't pay money off your device plan ever . I made that mistake . I phoned to pay £100 off device plan . The customer service people pressed the wrong button and took £500 from my account . They won't refund your money or apologise for there mistake.

For future reference, there is no need to call cs, you can make payments yourself in your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

They won't make any refunds at all , even though it was their error . The only way to get your money back is to phone your bank and tell them O2 took an unauthorised amount of cash from your account.
