Best way for me to upgrade?

Anonymous

Hey,

So I bought an S2 back in October, but had a little trouble with it (see my old posts!)

The problems are still unresolved so I'm looking to upgrade to the shiny new HTC One and probably recycle my old phone or something in the progress.

Now, it seems I'm not due to upgrade my phone until late in 2014 as I'm on a 24 month contract.

Is there no way to upgrade my contract (I'm willing to pay more every month, and I'm sure o2 would be happy to accept more money from me, right?) to get the phone? It seems like I'm missing something here.

Or is the only option to just shell out full price for the phone and jam my SIM in?

As always, I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks!

Pretty much, either buy the ONE SIM free and use your SIM or pay off your contract, unless you can get anywhere with "My S2's not fit for purpose" and get a change of phone that way....

Argh, that's a pain. Shame there isn't a way to simply give o2 more money each month.

I guess I'll have to do the maths to see if it's cheaper to buy myself out of my contract, or get a new handset. Either way, I guess my wallet will be getting hit hard.

Shame about my S2. If it hadn't been so faulty I might have held onto it I'm sure. By now I'm certainly well out of the warranty for it.

2 year warranty so I suggest you contact Samsung directly to have it looked at. I just sold my old S2 for £180 so there's still good money to be had from a working one.
