Best time to change tariff to avoid pro rata billing?

As per subject - from your experience, when is the best time to switch tariff and have no or as little pro rata split billing periods? I have been on simplicity for a while now and it doesn't have an inclusive data allowance other than web daily. I could add a data bolt on but not sure if I an best switching to a similar tariff with inclusive or stay as I am with bolt on.  It will be very low usage for email etc and not for any excessive browsing!

I also want to keep to the 1 month rolling contract and not have to change this.  If I want to change tariffs and go for a tariff with a little bit of data such as the 100 or 300, when is the best time to switch without much of an overlap?

Granted that a change of tariff might incur some delay or overlap, I don't mind a day or so.  I have searched the forums and there are incidents of some double billing etc so just wanted some clarification.  Is it usually a day before next billing date or some time else?

Thanks!

Hi @Viewfinder you have 90 minutes to edit....then that option times out on that particular post. If you check those you have just made...you should see the edit option?

Thanks Cleoriff, when I checked seconds after posting my last, I seem to be missing the Edit Reply option. Will check what options I get after this post and take a snapshot. If still not there, will try a different browser and see if its related... Can't see it being browser related otherwise I'd expect to see all or nothing in the list...

Using a different browser now and still don't have Edit in list of options...

Sorry Mods if I am drifting off topic. It's not a big issue if not easy to sort.

Hi @Viewfinder One of our other members @Anonymous had this problem. Not sure what device he was using to post but I think @Toby gave him some advice and it appears to be fixed now. I hope he will come along and advise.

I will show you how to upload a pic in a minute...

Thanks Cleoriff. I think I have discovered how to upload images. I was going through Settings to see if there was anything related to Editing posts and found the Albums / Upload link!

Cheers, thought I should save your time but thanks.  I hope that's what you were going to show me.

@Viewfinder If you look at the top bar when posting you will see this box (the one highlighted) You can insert pictures from there. The box to the right of it allows video uploads... The link feature to the left allows you to insert a link in forum format

Ha ha, thanks. Yes I did try that button on the toolbar but the source field didn't give me a browse button.

I'm guessing once I have uploaded a pic to my album, I then paste the link into source?
