I can’t receive sms messages from certain numbers, called o2 and they are of no help. Looking at my account bars have been put in place but I didn’t ask for these.  I upgraded my handset at the weekend but my airtime package stayed the same. Why has this happened? And how do I rectify it. I can’t receive messages from my bank or other certain numbers.

This is a customer to customer community, not O2.
You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

MyO2 via Web https://accounts.o2.co.uk/ lets you modify some of these yourself if you have been moved from the Legacy to the new 360 billing system at the back-end, @Faybles -
