This happens everytime my device backs up automatically although the percentage varies.

Maybe due to a corrupted file in a previous backup.
Deleting old backups usually helps.

Depends on your phone.
If Apple, go to iCloud settings and delete old backups from there.
If Android, you need to look in Settings under backup and reset.

Soz to keep bothering you but hopefully this is last time! Should that be 'Factory data reset' or 'reset settings - reset all settings to their defaults)'.

Settings > Tap your name at top of screen >iCloud >Manage storage >Backups >This phone >Delete backup
