I bought a new phone at Christmas (from a 3rd party) on an O2 contract. I had an existing O2 contract on which I have settled the device remainder. I am having absolutely no joy in transferring my old number to my new phone and this has been going on for weeks. Does anyone have any advice? I am on the verge of making the most serious complaint that I possible can.

@dpmcd

You need a number migration Guide: Migration & porting into O2

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry I should have mentioned that I have went through the number migration process last week (Tue). I was told it would take 24 hrs and nothing has happened.

I sent a message through Fb messenger yesterday and got no reply.

I phoned this morning and got through. The advisor checked all my details and resubmitted the transfer form. They gave me their word that this would go through in 24 hours. I'm not holding my breath...

I should add that this is the third time someone has filled in the form and for me to be told it will be processed in 24 hours.

Nothing has happened.

O2 Fb chat replied to me today, I'm going to message them this evening.

Very frustrating.
