Solved: Apple Watch

Hi I would like to order my son an Apple Watch as a birthday surprise, when placing order I have to link it to his number does anyone know if it will send him a text message and spoil the surprise? And If so, is there a way around this? Thank you

Only emails will be sent to the email address registered on the account.

I'm not aware of a text being sent but there may be a code sent to the phone for verification when ordering.

You could make up some excuse about updating the account details if so........
