Another phone with iPhone contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all, I recently took an iPhone contract, but due to my own stupidity it recently got damaged. I was just wondering if I can take the SIM card out of my iPhone, and stick in a new phone (not iPhone) and it would just work the same? The new phone is unlocked to that wouldn't be an issue - I was just wondering if the contract was strictly tied to an iPhone?

Many thanks, and happy new year!

The only thing that I know off that makes it strictly an iPhone contract is the iPhone data bolt on.

You can call CS and have the bolt on changed to a normal data bolt on. Just change the APNs in phone(we can help with that)

Only other thing is if its a blackberry I'm not sure if you can add a blackberry bolt on to a iPhone contract:/

Happy new year to you too:)
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

Also if your using an iPhone 4 onwards you may need a sim swap due to the micro and nano sims now used by these phones.

Hi all, thanks for the advice! I didn't manage to contact customer services in the end as I forgot, but my new phone came today and it works perfectly! Smiley Very Happy

Went for the HTC 8X. I've been somewhat of an Apple fanboy since 2007, but I've finally come to the conclusion they just aren't innovating anymore. It's the same thing but slightly different, and doesn't warrant a new product.

I have however been surprisingly impressed at Microsoft recently, so went over to their side to check things out. So far, I love it! grin
