Making or receiving a phone call, sending a text or using data will trigger the £6/day , check your apps are not set to use background data and WiFi isnt set to use WiFi assist as even 1Kb of data will trigger the charge

You could be making or receiving calls (including those sent to voicemail), sending or receiving text messages or using data @Greenwich49
