Adding my new service to my o2 account

So my old o2 contract ran out last month, and I took out a new contract because it was cheaper.

 

I now want to link my new contract to my old o2 account so that I can access it on myo2.

 

I phoned o2 and they said they that they can't do this because my email address is already in use and that I would need to create a whole new email address to access my new contract on myo2.

 

Surely this can't be right?

Currently they are correct.

No merging is possible whilst the Virgin migrations take place.

 Is there an eta of when this will be possible again? I really don't want to create a whole new email just to access myo2

Not until everyone has been migrated from Virgin Mobile / been migrated to the new  billing system... so all we can say is how long is a piece of string...

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account

We're told 50% complete roughly so only a guess, but another 6 months at least @lmthrn
