I took out a contract with Virgin mobile some years ago for my son, the phone and number are no longer used and i'm having a headache trying to deactivate my account with them, someone suggested ( on the virgin media community board ) the easiest way to do this would be to get the STAC code and then add it to my 02 account, thus deactivating the number and the contract, how would I go about this ?

@BobMcFiggin

You need to get a free O2 PAYG sim from here https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/pay-as-you-go

Then request your PAC from Virgin Guide: How to get your PAC [June 2021 Update] and transfer the number using the PAC to your new O2 PAYG sim.

Guide: Migration & porting into O2

This will 100% guarantee closure of the account and you can then throw away the O2 sim if you don't want to keep it.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
