83201 Text Reservation??

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi there,

Im a Pay monthly customer of many years. Just had a random text from 83201 saying that 'your reservation (lots of numbers) for an Apple Iphone 5c has been created'

Thats nothing of my doing, so i rang 202 instantly smelling a hoax & the excellent 02 advisor reassured me that nothing suspicious is on order on my account.

Anyway ive changed password, may i ask has anyone had this message?

Thanks

Never had one myself but it's likely to be a spammer. Keep an eye on your bank account to be on the safe side.

Check in your "My O2" and there is a section for "Recent Orders", I'm sure all is OK if CS have said so but you can check yourself for piece of mind.

Have done a Google search on this and nothing is coming up so suggest it might be a new one.

@Toby are you able to check out if this is legitimate o2 or not? Put The OP's mind at rest if it is. Does seem a bit unusual.

Having already turned up a blank on Google I figured it wouldn't be genuine or else there would have been some hits.....?

It's all very strange, I haven't heard of anyone receiving this particular text before. Do keep us updated if anything comes of it. Hope not.:smileyhappy:
