£6 Bolt On for USA

I am in Europe for the next week and I know I can roam here inclusive.  On Monday I fly to the USA for a week - so I want to add the Travel Bolt On.  When I do this it says it's not compatable with the "Standard rate in our Europe Zone" bolt on that I have.

So what do I do?

@GavinWebb

It's a nonsense warning as everyone gets free included EU roaming now.

Be aware that data speeds in the US are capped at 0.5mbps (so pretty useless) and you need 4g calling enabled on your account to make calls.

o2 seem like an utter disgrace when it comes to roaming speed, or even speed in general! I'm in my office in Leeds and am getting 7mbps down. I can't stream video on that over lunch! for comparison, EE got 100-200mpbs in the same office!

How are you meant to do anything with 0.5mbps roaming speed? it's utterly disgraceful - EE can get 30-40mbps in the USA, depending on the network, so claiming it's for "Traffic management" is just an outright lie

I regret switching now for the o2 Volt benefits with my Virgin Media broadband
