I’ve just bought an iPhone 12 pro max, is my current tariff 5g compatible or do I have to contact o2 to change it?

@Jamie79

To get 5G you need:

A 5G phone, a 5G sim and be in a 5G area. If your current sim is 5G you dont need to change it. If it isn't you need to get a new sim by calling O2 and do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

NB, your old sim will still work in the phone but only give you 4G

You'll need to activate the new sim that comes with the phone.

Just do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

If you're then in a 5g area it will work.
