Hi,

My partner and I recently upgraded with O2 and have the same phone and tariff. When we’re out together, he will get 5G but I won’t (I haven’t never had it since upgrading). I have checked my settings and everything seems fine. Any ideas?

Call O2 and check they have enabled 5g on your account.

@Paige97 Do you have a 5G sim in your phone? If not, you can request a new sim and do a swap: SIM Swap: a mini guide (incl eSim) - O2 Community

Or if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, call into an O2 store if you have one nearby and they'll do the swap for you. Bring identification with you.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Did you get a new sim with your upgrade? or are you using the old sim card?

I would request a 5G sim card, and then doing a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update  you get a new sim by popping into your local, friendly o2 store with ID or If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
