Hi there.

Question is 4G Calling (VoLTE) service supported by O2 with 5G signal/connection? Or only with 4G! I mean with 4G or 4G+ this works, does it work the same with 5G?

Yes it will work with 5G. As long as you have a 5G capable phone and sim and are in a 5G area.

If there are any issues, it would revert to 4G.

Edited to add, this is such a good question, I'll tag @Chris_K to the thread. It will be interesting to see what he has to say about it.

VoLTE does work over 5G and you should be able to use it with a 5G handset.

Vo5G will also use VoLTE as a handoff and uses the same infrastructure, it will depend on networks to support Vo5G

However it is dependent on the handset.

@BigDaddyUK 5G sims are backwards compatible, so there should be no problem. Take a look here:

Wifi and 4G Calling explained | O2

It will be years before the 5G network is fully operational (some places don't have 4G yet) so VoLTE will be around for some time to come.
