Quick question - pretty noob question i guess.

If i buy a 5G enabled phone is it necessary to have to make changes to my contract in order to be 'enabled' for 5G or do I need a new sim in order to actually get 5G?

Or is it a case of just buying  5G enabled phone (and being in a 5g supported area) and it just works?

You will need to swap to a 5g sim too, but it is free slight_smile

Call in to any O2 store and they will help you with a new sim.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
