4g pay as you go

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi- if you switch from 4g pay as a you go go go tariff to a pay as you go simplicity tariff will the data still be 4g or will you lose the 4g service. The starter tariff on 4g pay as you go is very stingy on minutes and there are no minutes bolt ons, its a long time to wait three months to get 150 mins. Simplicity can give mins data and text but is this on 4g payg sims?

4G is only on the 4G tariffs. The standard simplicity is 3G only.

Thanks

So even if you have a 4g sim, it wouldn't pick up 4g signal if you switched to a payg simplicity tariff? Are there any plans to offer 4g simplicity payg tariffs?

4G Simplicity tariff's are here https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/simplicity/SmartPhone/?is4G=true
You will not get 4G without a 4G tariff regardless of which sim you have. You must choose a 4G tariff in order to use 4G.
