Only o2 can answer that but it may involve a buy out of existing call time  tariff on the 29th it will be live so I guess best to wait until then

4G contracts haven't been released yet so we don't know, check back on the 29th.

Your contract will not "just change over".

Surely they will release them a couple of days before as it will take that for the tariff to switch over

Im more prone to thinking it will be only released on the advertised launch date or their would be too much confusion.

Theres going to be enough of that anyway !!

A release date is exactly that, why would you throw other dates in which would cause confusion?

Because I was told by cs that it takes 24/48 hrs to change tariff so they say its out n the 29th but you wouldn't be able to use it until its changed over that seems a bit silly

You haven't thought this through, O2 have a possible 23 million customers to consider.

You really only need one date.

Well we will see the cs rep I spoke to said he would be very surprised if the contracts were not available a few days before launch

EE only has converted 2.5% roughly to 4g so will it be that big a rush on launch day.

And surely it is only going to take a few mins to activate the new tariffs on the network.

Just think a new customer walks into a store gets a new handset by the time they have left the shop the phone will be working.
