4G on Nexus 5x

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi i switched over from Vodafone to O2 a few days ago on a 12 month simon plan 4GB of data.

i have not been able to get a 4G signal only H - at 5 locations i been where there shows should have good 4G coverage all in London.

The Nexus 5x is sold on o2 so it should work. I have inserted the SIM again, rebooted. Next thing i will try is shove the SIM into my Nexus 5 phone to rule out the device.

Thanks

Call CS on 202 and check 4g is enabled on your account.
There have been a few reports of simo deals not having 4g enabled.

Just in case you haven't tried it yet:

Settings>More>Cellular networks>Preferred network type>4G (recommended)

I don't have the 5x, but I have the Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

A blackberry bolt on? Lets hope that's sorted after tonight then. As for 3 out of 5 masts working....it may well be that they are bringing 4G to the other 2 areas.....

Why would O2 have sent you a new sim on a sim only contract with a Blackberry bolt-on already on it? Very strange.

I believe you, I'm just wondering why the bolt-on is there in the first place if you didn't request it?

It's almost always invariably a problem with the phone set up. Hopefully changing the data bolt on will sort it for you.
