Hi folks.
I've just come over to o2 from Vodafone.

However Im struggling with the data speeds.
I was in Bath at the weekend and my device had full 4G signal however the data was unusable.

Back at home Somerset I'm seeing about 2meg down speeds.

Is this normal? I know o2 have very small bandwidth on the 4g spectrum but I didnt think it would be this bad.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Jason

Yeah, in some areas it's pretty bad but they are improving all the time.
We've seen reports of over 100 mbps in some areas.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Sorry to hear that. I've managed to get over the 100+ but I agree with MI5. Some areas are not as good yet and still being worked on.

If if you have either Android or Apple device, download the My network app.

you are then able to check your local area for 2G, 3G, 4G and if there are any problems or upgrades in the area..

i do do seem to remember though reading some where that Bath isn't the best as it rejects lots of masts due to its area or something like that.

Use iPhone XS Max dual sim, SE, Honor 10, IPad Pro 11, Apple Watch 4 LTE, 100+ Mpbs Barrier and a Record Player.
