I've had O2 4G for the last fours years at my rural location (only a few farms around me). I have a visual line of sight from my office to the mast on the hill.

I enjoyed a 4Mbps UPLOAD as my research and work requires uploading data to another office. Our broadband is copper with an upload of only 0.28Mbps, hence the 4G contract. My uploads on 4G used to take 20 minutes. Great! I was happy.

In the last week or so. My uploads are now taking 6.5 HOURS !!! at only 0.33Mbps !!!

It would be quicker to take an airplane and deliver by hand every day.

So, what gives? What is the solution and am I the only one?

It could be any number of things @CMP2020:
- work being carried out on the mast
- too many people trying to use the mast
- router might need a turn off/on again
You can try the following:
- turn the router off, leave for 30 seconds and turn on again
- if possible, try switching the connection to 3G. This sometimes helps as more people use 4G and 3G is less busy
- check for any work or known issues using the link http://status.o2.co.uk/
- report a problem using the network app https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network
- some more help in the network issues guide https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/How-can-I-sort-out-my-network-issues/ba-p/1014088
