hi can someone help me , had a iphone 6 and have smashed the screen !!! so i put my sim in a iphone 5s to use for a bit , but i can not acess 3g or 4g on it , its shows the 3/4g symbol but will not allow me to connect , i have checked all the settings , been in to carphone warehouse and they do not have a clue !!!!!! so im stuck ! 

i can connect to wifi at home no problem, just not out and about.

You should be able to get 3g and 4g on the 5s OK so the first thing to do is reset your network settings.
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Hi @Anonymous what iOS are you on? Go into mobile data. There maybe a 3G toggle try clicking that & see if that turns on 3G or 4G

It wouldn't be showing on the screen as per the opening post if turned off, would it?
