Hi all,

I've just switched from pay as you go to pay monthly 20GB for £20 tariff and got my first bill with amount of £33.00.

I'm wondering, why is it not £20?

Thanks

They said that the discount was applied after the first bill was generated and £13 of discount will return to me after 12 months.

Look in your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 for a breakdown of charges which will explain where the extra is from.
First bill also explained here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/account-and-billing/first-bill

Here is the breakdown of the bill:

So, the question remains. Why am I charged £33 instead of £20 at 20Gb pay monthly tariff?

No idea mate.
Looks like the discount hasn't been applied so call customer services on 202 and ask why.

Yes 202 and ask them to explain why the bill is so high. First bill is normally only a couple of pounds above the tariff you signed up for.

12 months?
The discount for your tariff should be applied immediately from the 1st bill and run for the duration of 12 months.

I can understand it was applied after the first bill but it should then be shown on your next bill. Waiting for 12 months is a load of nonsense. Call again and don't be fobbed off like that. Hopefully you will get someone who knows what they are talking about.
