There must be a reason, give them a ring on 202 tomorrow and see if they can explain it.

Is this the first bill for a new contract?

Have you looked in MyO2?

No, this is 7 months into 12 month contract.

Looked at My O2 app which was when I discovered the high cost of the final two calls on the bill 😞

Spoke to 202 the next day - they couldn't tell me.  They said they'd look into it and get back to me.  They didn't.  I chased again today to find a note on my account to say they won't refund me for the calls because I moved from unlimited tariff to 300 mins tariff.  Apparently the day I made the calls they were over my 'pro rata' despite not being over my allowance.

Am not happy and have diaried to give 30 days notice to cancel my account on 23 Jan 2014 😞

If you're unhappy with the way this has been handled, the best thing to do is vote with your wallet and cancel as you've said you'll do. Just make sure your signal and coverage is good from whichever provider you decide to move to.
