Hi, I am only 3 months in to a 24 month contract but want to cancel the contract. I understand I will have to pay termination charges of about £400 but how do I actually pay off this contract? And can I keep the phone after I cancel?? Thanks.

So I just need the PAC code to change to a new network, change to the new network, then get billed for the termination charges?

The amount I have received after texting info to 85075, is that usually accurate?

@Becc29 Yes, that's all you have to do. The amount showed as owing should be accurate.

Hi, Becc29,

Was this contract done with o2 direct ( via an o2 store, online via o2.co.uk, or customer services )?If so you can find out this info via myo2 ( app or by signing into www.o2.co.uk/myo2  with your username and password.

If not, you will have to get in touch with the provider via the customer services number on your bill.

Can I just hand my phone back to O2 in it's original box and then start another contract on a new phone with them?

@Becc29

That is not how it works, you need to pay off your current handset (if on Refresh), then you can upgrade to the handset you want.

You can then sell the handset you have to one of the many companies that buy used mobiles to offset this cost.

Just to add, no mobile operator allows you to just hand back a device after 3 months just because you want a new handset.

- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
