I want to disable my voicemail, however calling 1760 results in an error tone (as does calling 1750). The O2 help page on voicemail states: "To switch 'ON' your Voicemail 901 service you need to dial 1750 from your mobile and to switch 'OFF' dial 1760". Why do these numbers fail for me? I'm on a 12 month O2 pay monthly contract.
(Incidentally, using ##21# does not disable my voicemail either, even though it comes back with "divert cancelled").
Thanks

Ring 202 and explain the error
But are you doing this in the uk or whilst broad? If abroad you cannot turn voice mail off.

If you have TuGo installed you can't switch voicemail on/off either.

Old thread I know but I was having a tinker this morning to see if VVM now worked on my Windows phone. It's an O2 firmwared phone but as I run Preview for Developers Cyan (Necessary for VVM) was a late arrival.
I never actually use Voicemail so after confirming the VVM toggle switch is now active I decided to dial 1760 to ensure voicemail was deactivated. I discovered that 1750 & 1760 weren't working and a quick google brought me to this thread.
TuGo is a fairly recent addition for Windows Phone, in the settings there is an option to turn voicemail on/off. I've tried it and it works, as does VVM.
I never realised that an O2 phone without voicemail only rings in for 30 secs if unanswered, mine then gives a 'Sorry there is no reply' recording. I'm assuming this is normal?

I think that's more to do with what phone you have rather than O2.
