Hi, Does anyone know if O2 will take a Revolute Mastercard for payment of a pay monthly account? I've just tried to do this twice without any luck. I use this card all the time for small payments and never had a problem so it would be strange but not impossible I guess.

Thanks.

Hi @mstarkey

Some other customers have reported problems with none standard cards.

See bill payment guide here for help

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

O2 usually take all UK cards although if it's a newish one on the card market you could have problems.

You need to call customer service.

Call 202 from your mobile or use Skype to call 0800 032 1402

All other numbers and methods of contact are in this guide

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

Depending on what revolut card you have it may not be a UK Card number, and as such it is not accepted by o2

I would reach out to revolut support (good luck) and see if they can see a problem.

If need be they can raise it to Mastercard if it is a UK Card Number as this is against the MC Acceptance Conditions.

CS couldn’t help! Just tried again and got this.
Your order can't be completed.

As well as our credit scoring system, we use business policies to check all new applications. This time, you didn’t meet the minimum level.

Our business policies are commercially sensitive, so we're unable to tell you the specific reason for rejecting your application.

The details of your basket are available in the 'Your order' link above.

@mstarkey

So they are inferring you failed the credit check?

Have you had anything from O2 before without a problem?

Or anything else refused on credit?

Seems a bit weird to me that you have an issue with a card then suddenly fail your application.

I would try instore.

The system will automatically reject you due to multiple credit checks in quick succession.

You would have been credit checked the first time you applied and again the second time, so that's an instant fail I'm afraid.
