Hi there I am 35 year old Autistic Male!
Last October I bought iPhone 16 pro Max 256GB silver £36 months contract!
I got email regarding price increase April 2026 29th October 30 days I can leave 02 airtime plan but keep paying device plan monthly
I finally got through to a U.K call centre yay! after trying for ages!
they gave me a very good deal with unlimited data texts & calls for 12 months £20.80 so was gonna take it!
but they were really stressing me out 😭 as they told me I had to start a new deal with a temp number with new SIM card (Can’t have eSIM) then when Sim card arrives put it in my iPhone then call them back up (don’t wanna speak to offshore call centre)!
they will then transfer my number to it! I was stressing out massively as concerned I would be paying for 2 airtime plans & that way seemed too confusing for me!
I just wanted to keep same Sim Card but update my airtime plan but was told I can only do that if I pay my device plan off in full!
Next Saturday I am going to the o2 store to chat to them and get this sorted & nipped in the bud got till 8th December to sort it!
I feel like 02 have let me down massively,
Any advice you can give me please?

Stores are also unable to set up the payment plans for the device payments, but it's up to @ITFCJosh whether they take the advice or go it alone.

both advise been very good & helpful but as I say
even someone with me won’t help at all! I point blank refuse to talk to offshore call centre advisor!
all I want is to talk to a friendly person who is in the U.K/Ireland wether phone or store!
who can either move me to better airtime deal without starting a new contract with temp number that I have call back to transfer it don’t trust that process at all! Or have to pay my full device plan balance can’t afford it, or just let me get PAC Code so I can move provider & keep paying airtime plan monthly
what soo hard on doing this simple task I am gonna explode 💥 if when I ring again I get put through to offshore call centre

My own Airtime/Device plan will be paid off towards the end of next April, then I'm gonna sell my Watch to pay off the contract on it, pay that off and get the heck OUT of O2 in general.
@ITFCJosh I also hate talking to non UK call centres, I can just about cope with Sky and their Scottish Highlands one... The reason being I have a broad/very distinct Yorkshire accent, and the majority of call centres on the Moon (slight exaggeration but you'll know what I mean) don't understand me, neither do some UK based ones apparently.

My device plan runs out Sept 2027 Airtime plan splits Sept 2026 so can upgrade airtime plan to better deal then!
the way 02 have been to me I want to leave but they making it soo difficult I don’t like it

whats so hard in 02 doing what said in email!
Should be simple as either going to 02 store or ringing up & put through to the U.K & everything done/sorted within 1 hour!
not spending all afternoon ringing 6-7 times only to be put through offshore call centre who can’t help at all & when eventually through to U.K they push you to take out new deal!
Feel so fed up!
Everyone on here has give great advice sadly 02 won’t action it
why can’t 02 store sort PAC codes & cancellations?
I will keep trying to call & see if I can get U.K person doubt it!
02 gone down hill massively!
So if anyone has some advise on How I can talk to someone from the U.K only that is willing to do what 02 said in email then great!
