Im not sure what restraining order 02 have currently got held over them, but they are just about to lose a customer of 10 years+ because of it.
From a comparatively small (but award winning) online setup I can get an iPhone6 64GB for free with unlimited mins and texts and 1GB data for £38 per month.
02 cant get ANYWHERE near that! And just answer with a flat "we cant give discount on the iphone 6 at the moment".
02 are £10 per month more expensive and still want circa £99 upfront on top!
How can one of the UK's leading mobile companies be SO far of the competition on price?
They need to re-consider the deal they've done with Apple or whatever else it is holding them back.
I'd love to stay, but 02 has just lost a long standing and loyal customer.
PAC code requested!

@Anonymous you may remember that I explained to you why some iPhones are cheaper on refresh than directly from Apple themselves
I think both sets of forum posts goes to show it can be both ways and as @Anonymous says it can be a minefield and it can hinge on homework carried out before committing.
I personally choose to buy sim free as not to be signed up to a contract. Just my choice.
If I was committed to a long term contract I certainly would be using every avenue open to me to try and obtain forms of reductions / deals.
Its interesting to read peoples passionate thoughts on different manufacturers and platforms which I used to get involved in by way of friendly banter ,but those types of discussions are long gone for me and am uninterested in any 'Vs' types of posts.
People don't need to justify anything to anyone.
I buy what I buy and you buy what you decide to buy. Period.
Happy days.

But the beauty of refresh is you aren't locked in.
You pay off handset and you're done.
Agreed - yes the Refresh Tariff allows that.
As I say it's just my personal choice. I'm fortunate to have the disposable income which is why I choose to purchase the phone outright.
If I was to commit to contract it would be a 30 Day Sim Only.

Some obvious advantages to a contract as stated but free voicemail and better allowances have to be considered too.
