MMS will not work on WiFi, so depending on the phone you may need to turn it off to force a data connection.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You need to be set up for mms.

Text ACTIVE to 2020 - save settings and re boot.

You also need to have mobile data turned on ie be on O2 internet.

You may need to call O2 CS to have your account provisioned for mms too.

The apn manual settings are here http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/articles/chapter/595-04-how-to-set-apn-settings-for-the-02-mobile-network

Mms is not part of your inclusive texts on contract or Payg and is charged for as an extra. 35p contract or 25p Payg.

Look at alternatives such as e mail , viber or whatsApp.

The person your sending the mms would need to be also set up to view the picture too.
