I have just recieved a spam e-mail below. Please deal with this as a matter of urgency. I am a Classic Pay as you Go customer.

Not sure what exactly you are expecting O2 to do about this. A number of businesses have issues with spam and others pretending to be them.

It is for you as the end user to check before selecting links, etc in your email. Look at the senders email for a start on your sample should tell you this isn't from O2

makes you wonder how many crooks are also on here.

The sender was shown as o2 from the address <iwgymiro@stonline.sk>

If you are p&g there is no issue. O2 have no authority to take any kind of payment and indeed have no dd details..

Be very careful, It is a total Scam with Malware attached to the link.

 

If you panic and click the O2 link it goes nowhere but hijacks your contacts list. Then smewhere in Czech Republic steals your email account and sends your contacts false invoices from you.

 

If you have clicked the link - Warn all your contacts to ignore any invoices from you, not to open any link and immediately delete it.

 

No doubt some computer has the contacts folder and will imersonate you for the forseeable.

 

Change your Email Password
