Sim only package

Not applicable

I'm currently on a sim only tariff which is £18+VAT per month where I received 3GB of data with unlimited minutes and texts. Since moving into my new flat I have struggled somewhat for signal so thought about exploring new providers to find Vodafone are offering 8GB data as well as the unlimited minutes & texts for just £17 per month. I've been with o2 for many years now and would prefer not to have the hassle of switching provider but would be keen to jump on the vodafone offer whilst it still exists unless o2 can give me a counter-offer?

For just £3 more per month @Anonymous you can get 15GB of data on a standard O2 SIMO tariff.

https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/sim-only-deals/#deviceType=phone&contractLength=P12M

For comparison, £17 per month would get you 6GB of data, so not quite an identical match to the offer you've seen, but worth talking to the re-contracts guys about what they can offer as mentioned above.

As the reason you were looking in the first place was signal/coverage issues, make sure that you'll get the service that you need whichever network that's with, as there's no point in saing a couple of £'s if you end up paying for a service you can't use properly. slight_smile

You're only talking to other customers here mate. This isn't customer service.
Give them a call on 202 and see what they say.

@Anonymous You can call customer service & chose the thinking of leaving option & see what they offer you but doubt they will match it & if you cancel you will be liable for any fees outstanding

I didn't used to get good coverage, so at those times just used the Tu Go app on my PC and phone.  So long as you can get decent wifi you can use TuGo - even abroad.  My phone had a problem last night connecting to the network, so I made a couple of calls using my PC.  It is a great app.

Happily we now have great 4G coverage from O2.

Note 9. O2 since 2007.
