O2 Travel Charges even for days when I did not use the service

Anonymous

I am being charged 4.99 every day for O2 Travel, even when I do not send messages or make calls from my phone. My data is also disabled. What is going on?

Something must be triggering the charge.
Call customer services to ask what.

Maybe you have data roaming disabled but have you also switched off Mobile data completely? If you are contract then download TU and leave put the phone in flight mode. You will still get your messages through the app over wifi.

I had that last month, didn't even know what it was but apparently I opted into it. And i've no idea how it worked when i'd turned off mobile and roaming data to use the free hotel wifi. Currently waiting to be refunded this charge.

Check what  o2 travel you opted for as i beleave that some you take out are a rollover until you stop it by contacting o2.  Have seen many contracts with this built in or added into the tarriff for people that travel a lot.

It's default "on" for every contract taken directly with O2 and I'm not aware there are any different o2 travel packages to choose from - again, this is default depending on country visited.

Wow, that's a new one and this shouldn't be allowed. Never seen it in the T&Cs either.

Need to see proof that that exists.
