How do I cancel my contract?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been an o2 customer since 1999 (formerly BT Cellnet), but each year fall foul of renewing my contract on deals which I am assured by o2 are the best only to find out friends and colleagues are paying less for the same contract. I am looking to change over to EE, but can't find any information on the o2 site on how to cancel my contract. I am up for early renewal on 18th June.

Your contract will become a one month rolling contract after the 18th. You need to ring O2 on 202 from your mobile and give 30 days notice that you wish to cancel. Also ask for your PAC, as you have been with O2 for so long you probably want to keep your number. If you decide to go with EE, give them your PAC. That will start the cancellation process. It might be an idea to get a PAYG sim from EE to make sure you are getting the same coverage that you have had with O2 before you cancel.

ring 202 is the only option from your handset or give notice in writing.

But you can only upgrade to another deal on o2 on the 18th not leave that will be whatever your nomal contract end date is in myo2.
