Hi. I recently changed from Pay Monthly to PAYG and wanted to keep my old number. For some reason O2 sent me a different sim card. It took four calls to CS to get it working properly.

I specified that I just wanted to top up as and when - ie, if I put ten quid on it, it would last till I used all the call time. I put a tenner on the account at the Trafford Centre and after much messing about I logged on to my account to discover I'm on a £10 Big Bundle tariff and showing no credit.

My question is - is this a tariff which needs to be topped up monthly to enable me to keep making calls?

If so, it's not what I specified several times during my saga with CS.

Any help gratefully received.

You need one of the "O2 Unlimited tariffs"

Yes this is a tariff that takes £10 top up to get your allowances. You may be better checking the other tariffs available to you. You can change every 30 days.

I dont want a monthly top up. Is that all O2 offer - a monthly one? I just want to put ten quid on and use it as as when.I was assured that would be the case and it's not.

O2 Unlimited as I posted above.
The top up lasts until you use it up.

Thank you for that. I looked online and it doesn't exactly make it clear that's the case.
It seems I didn't get what I originally asked for.

Call customer service and they will change it for you, or you could try live chat.

You should be able to log into your "My o2" and change your tariff in there http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

I've been hanging on for "live" chat for ages. They're all dead. Just tried ringing CS from my phone and it's a nightmare.
Phone lines busy.
Put a tenner on 4 days ago. Been unable to use the phone through O2's total ineptitude and now get a message that I have no call credit!
Useless. I'm off.
