When I try to top-up on line, this does not go through even though a screen appears saying that authentication for my card has been successful.

Hi there!
Have you definitely checked that the mobile number you are trying to top up is entered correctly and is still an active sim? If there was no activity on the sim in the last 6 months, the sim may be inactive!
I would check with your bank to see if the transaction has been fully accepted. You can also call pay and go customer services on 4445, but please bare with them! They are very busy at this time
